About Education Tauranga

Education Tauranga, first established in 1997, is an organization of local education providers responsible for promoting the ‘Tauranga education experience’ to potential and existing international students.

Education Tauranga represents private and state institutions from across the education sector in Tauranga: Primary Schools, Intermediate Schools, Secondary Schools, English Language Schools and Tertiary Institutions (Polytechnic and University).

All institutions are New Zealand Ministry of Education approved and signatories to the Ministry of Education’s Code of Practice for International Students.

Education Tauranga has been built on an acceptance that mutual co-operation benefits the member institutions and the international students’ experience. A collaborative approach assists to ensure that international students receive quality education and that their everyday needs and expectations are exceeded.

All institutions have well qualified friendly staff that offer a range of support services, including: accommodation, study skills support, recreation and orientation programmes.
