Since 1997 BOPELS has “thought differently”! Our team is a highly experienced and enthusiastic group of teachers and office staff. Importantly, most of the teachers speak more than one language so understand the difficulties of learning a second language. But, beyond the quality of the teaching what characterises our school is the openness and friendliness between students and teachers. Our “OPEN DOOR” policy means that we are happy to talk with you at any time and to help you with any advice you may need. Our students say that our school has a “family atmosphere” where students from all different cultures make long lasting friendships.
We attribute our success to:
After your stay in our school you will be more confident in English, which will enable you to be more successful in your job and in this global world you will find it easier to communicate with many different cultures.
Our school is situated in the central part of the city within easy walking distance from the bus station (4 minutes) and cafes, restaurants and shops (3 minutes).
We offer English as a Second Language classes through 6 levels as well as National Certificate in Education Achievement Standards in English to Level 2.
IELTS classes are held every four months.
BOPELS specialises in Group Tours - English plus activities and these group tours can be adapted to the requirements of the group.
Fun activities within the school are a common occurrence with good student participation from English breakfasts together before school to farm visits and to sites and activities in and around Tauranga. Every teacher has the freedom to organise trips for his/her class, especially if it is going to enhance a learning activity!
Accommodation;
The school will organise a home stay family for you if needed or will give you information on other types of accommodation i.e. backpackers, youth hostels, hotels or apartments.
