Tauranga Girls’ College welcomes International students to one of the top performing schools in the New Zealand. Located approximately 2 ½ hours from Auckland, in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Tauranga boasts stunning beaches and natural scenery along with modern city facilities.
The school is fully equipped with a new International Students’ Centre, computer laboratories, music suites, multi-media studio, heated swimming pool and gyms, and the teachers, attracted by Tauranga’s life-style, are highly qualified and dedicated to helping all students achieve their potential.
The college provides a wide range of subjects and activities to develop the girls’ confidence and leadership skills. The International department is restricted to 50 students, and students’ progress is watched carefully. ESOL is a strength at the school, and in-class support can be provided by a specialist teacher aide. Students can train for IELTS or TOEFL as well as do their mainstream subjects. Homestays are carefully selected and monitored, and there are many extra-curricular opportunities.
