Working while studying
If you are a tertiary student and your study programme is longer than two years, you can work full time during the summer holidays and up to 20 hours a week during the academic year.
English language students studying in Tauranga can also work part-time during their study. There are rules around working if you are an English Language student so it is best to talk to your school to find out what you are allowed to do.
There are other situations where you may be able to work while studying. Remember that your visa will always state how much you’re allowed to work.
